Málaga is one of Spain’s most varied historic wine provinces, with three official D.O.s — Málaga, Sierras de Málaga and Pasas de Málaga — spread across five geographic zones. From steep Axarquía
slate to the Serranía de Ronda
and the coastal vineyards of Manilva
, each area gives travellers a different expression of Andalusian wine country.

FAQ
Ronda is usually the easiest first winery day because it combines boutique bodegas, mountain scenery and a clear sense of place. Sierras de Málaga is best when you want the shortest travel time.
Harvest usually begins in late summer and can run into early autumn, with timing changing by altitude, grape variety and weather. Axarquía Muscat is often among the earlier harvests.
Most wine routes are roughly 25 to 60 minutes from Málaga, while mountain or coastal routes can take a little longer depending on the exact winery and pickup point.
Sometimes, especially on a private tour. For shared small-group tours we usually keep the route focused so the day feels relaxed and the winery visit is not rushed.
Private tours can often work well for families and non-drinkers because the route, food stops and pace can be adjusted. Tell us before booking so we can recommend the right option.
Transport depends on the selected tour. Winery day trips often include pickup or a clear meeting point, and each tour page confirms the exact transport details before booking.
