Our story
We started this local wine project because too many visitors knew Malaga for beaches and tapas, but not for the wine country that surrounds the city.
The province has historic sweet wines, modern dry reds and whites, mountain vineyards, coastal Muscat and small family wineries that are hard to understand from a shop shelf. We wanted to make those places easy to reach without turning them into a rushed coach-tour stop.
Our tours are built around small groups, local relationships and clear English explanations. We work across Ronda, Axarquia, Montes de Malaga, Manilva and Antequera, with wines from D.O. Malaga, D.O. Sierras de Malaga and D.O. Pasas de Malaga.
Founder note
We want guests to leave with a real sense of Malaga wine country: the families behind the bodegas, the landscapes around the city and the difference between the sweet historic wines and the modern dry wines being made here today.

What we believe
We build tours around family bodegas and boutique producers with a real connection to Malaga wine country, not anonymous tasting rooms.
We keep the pace personal so guests can ask questions, hear the story behind each wine and never feel rushed through a stop.
Our guides explain grapes, D.O.s, food pairings and local context in plain English, with Spanish support available on selected routes and private tours.
We prefer slower routes, honest expectations and winery relationships that make sense for guests, hosts and the places we visit.

Why travellers choose us
Ramon our guide was very knowledgeable and made sure we had a great experience. Taking us to his home town of Alora to see the town/church/castle, followed by a vineyard tour, wine tasting (4 types) and tapas. I appreciated the veggie tapas that I had requested. There were 6 of us on the small group tour which meant we could ask lots of questions. Ramon spoke in English and Spanish. We appreciated the latter as we are learning Spanish and Ramon helped us.
Ramon was our guide and he grew up in Àlora. He told us just enough to keep it breezy but informative at the museum, church, castle, and vineyard. The tasting at the winery was in a pretty room at a long attractively presented table with good wine in stemware, local cheeses and meats. Great price for the day, too. Without hesitation, I suggest you go on this small family run tour in the mini van and avoid the bigger busses to the bigger sights. "Local Roots" says it all... Homegrown Mijas food, wine, and guide. Fantastic trip.
Álora is very charming and the views are stunning. The guided tour with Ramón was informative yet relaxed, and felt really warm and personal. The local wine tasting was delicious, perfectly paired with tapas. Highly recommended for a laid-back, authentic day out!
